Developing Adult L2 Prosody Through Musical Notes

Prosodic features are challenging to be acquired by adult second language (L2) learners. The session proposes a model to teach Korean prosody to English speakers based on theory and practice. How musical notes have been used to help them internalize the sound patterns and deal with their fossilized sound patterns will be presented.

Multilingualism and Language Repertoires in the Language Classroom

This session will discuss activities, approaches, and techniques for recognizing diverse linguistic repertoires in the language classroom.
