To see how a series of stormwater infiltration techniques rehabilitated a former industrial site, participants will travel to Waltham, Mass., to tour a National Historic Registered mill factory rejuvenation. Session leaders-joined by project engineers, the developer, and the hydrologist-will provide the complete project history.
1) Learn to incorporate stormwater management strategies through innovative design.
2) See how the conveyance and treatment of stormwater can be expressed as a central design element.
3) Learn about the redevelopment of a National Historic Registered mill complex.
4) Understand the historic context of how the Industrial Revolution affected the Charles River.
