He has been a leader in the design and construction of soil profiles in floodplains to store flood waters and reduce the impact of urban flooding. Wenk is one of the foremost landscape architects using innovative layered soil systems to infiltrate, treat and store stormwaters, and to restore stream and floodplain systems.
